Maybe instead of me commenting, I will let you see what a former participant thought of the program from summer 2005.

"I found this experience to study business overseas to be one of the most valuable parts of my education so far. ESAC was great. The program was well organized and included many cultural activities I never could have seen or done on my own, including a trip to a small village and a rafting trip. Many of the skills that I have learned the last two years at university were reinforced while traveling abroad. I was exposed to business life abroad and made contacts for future internship or employment opportunities.

Prague is an amazing place to study. Not only is it a beautiful city with its breathtaking buildings, it provides for an amazing cultural experience. Another plus is that restaurants, bars, cafes, and clubs are very affordable on a student budget (unlike London and Berlin where we also traveled). I think that because things are reasonably priced in Prague, I was able to do more than I would have been able to in Western Europe. Cheers, Ken Rust"

Bit off topic: In the last two year you hear more and more about studying in Czech as a foreigner. If you look for information you see more and more organisations who can help you with studying. You have any idea why?

HI! Great question!

Study abroad has rapidly become a very important component of a student’s education. Many institutions of higher education now mandate that a student spend a portion of their undergraduate curriculum on a different continent. As a result, there is a huge demand for program alternatives and choices around the globe.

Selecting the destination for studying overseas is equally as important as choosing the right program (short-term, long term, language programs, culinary arts, business education). With many popular destinations, like Prague, there are significant numbers of students who wish to complete their program in a particular city or country. Therefore program providers (and faculty led programs) are on the rise. This is a good thing because it gives students a wide range of program types to select from, at varying price ranges and over a vast array of academic disciplines.

It is important to remember that studying abroad is a critical aspect of a student’s education, not only from an academic perspective, but also from the *intrinsic benefits* point of view in terms of increased self awareness, emotional development, a stronger sense of independence and improved cross-cultural skills. These days, this fundamental skill set is also important to employers and there is a trend in hiring graduates who have some international experience on their c.v., even if it was only a short-term program.

Prague, the beautiful capital of the Czech Republic, remains one of the most popular destinations for students to participate in educational programs. This country and others in this region have not adopted the Euro. Consequently, this area is a shopper’s paradise as prices are still substantially below those in both the U.S. and Western Europe. This program is excellent quality for good value. Previous participants will speak to perspective students, just ask us!
