Hello,

My partner and I are thinking about buying a guest house (to operate as a small hotel / bed & breakfast) in the countryside, in the east part of Central Bohemia. We are wondering what the transport is like (good highways? regular trains?)

Also, we only speak English (en ik spreek en beetje Nederlands), so we are wondering if this would be a problem? I was thinking people only speak English in the city of Prague, and we will probably have to learn Czech or German if we live in a country area?

Also, is it possible for foreigners like us to buy a house in the Czech Republic?

We cannot afford to buy a house in the UK, so we are just wondering what the possibilites would be.

Many thanks for any advice you can give!

Angela

Angela.
In Czech, more and more persons speak English. It is possible to buy a house in Czech. The most used constructions is that that your own company buys the house. You are then shareholder (for 100%) of the company.
The roads start to be better and better. In addition the public transport is old modest but functional
