Prague Castle & Lesser Town
Duration: Approx. 5 hours
Entrance fees: Approx. 3 - 11 EUR / person
Records indicate that Prague Castle is the largest castle area in the world. Its three courtyards and a number of magnificent buildings cover over 7 hectares (18 acres), so be prepared to see a lot and do some walking. Depending on the time you have and your interests, you will be able to decide which interiors to visit.
Starting in the 10th century, the Castle served as the seat of Czech princes and later kings. Today, it is the seat of the Czech president, and the most important National Cultural Monument of the Czech Republic.
Your guide will take you up to the Castle by public or private transport and you will then walk through Hradčany (the "Castle Town"). You will be able to admire the many important sights that are part of the Castle area: the Loreto, the Archbishop's Palace, the imposing St. Vitus Cathedral... You can even take a detour and visit the Strahov Monastery with its famous library.
You will learn about the Castle's rich history and will be able to visit the interiors that are accessible to the public. A stroll through the charming Golden Lane is a must. The Castle tour will also offer some breathtaking views of Prague.
From the Castle, you can descend to the Lesser Town via Nerudova Street to Malostranské náměstí (Lesser Town Square), or by taking the Old Castle Stairs and passing through the Wallenstein Garden where you can see the Wallenstein Palace - seat of the Czech Senate. Your tour can end at the Church of Our Lady Victorious and the Infant Jesus of Prague, or on Charles Bridge.

Prague - Old Town
Duration: Approx. 5 hours
Entrance Fees: None or 2 - 5 EUR / person (Old Town Hall and various towers)
The Old Town is the heart of Prague and its oldest urban area, established in 1231. The Old Town Square is one of Prague's best-known tourist spots. The square is dominated by the elegant Týn Church, built in the Gothic style in the 14th century, and by the statue of Jan Hus that serves as the square's magnificent centerpiece. You will be able to admire the Astronomical Clock that is part of the Old Town Hall, as well as the beautiful, although sometimes overlooked, Church of St. Nicholas.
The Old Town contains the Jewish Quarter, one of the most important Jewish heritage sites in Europe, with its synagogues and Old Jewish Cemetery. You can also see the oldest part of Charles University, which was established by king Charles IV in 1348 and is the oldest university in Central Europe.
Other highlights of the Old Town include the strikingly beautiful Municipal House, the Powder Tower and Celetná Street.
Karlova Street (part of the old Royal Route) will take you to Charles Bridge, Prague's most famous and oldest bridge that continues to the Lesser Town.

Prague - Jewish Quarter
Duration: Approx. 3 hours
Entrance Fees: Approx. 7 - 16 EUR / person
Please note: All Jewish sites are closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays.
The Jewish Quarter is part of Prague's Old Town and forms a self-contained area that can be easily covered on foot. The district was named Josefov after emperor Josef II whose Edict of Tolerance granted political and religious rights to religious minorities in 1781. Josefov was added to Prague's historical center in 1850.
Prague's Jewish population has lived in this area for centuries and was nearly wiped out during World War II. Today, the Jewish Museum administers a number of synagogues, all beautifully restored and housing priceless exhibits collected throughout the past.
Your tour can include a visit to the Old-New Synagogue (the oldest working synagogue in Europe), the Pinkas Synagogue that serves as a memorial to the victims of the holocaust with almost 80,000 names inscribed on its walls, the astonishing Spanish Synagogue, the Old Jewish Cemetery, and other sights.
