Czech people know English?

Hello people,

I am writing to you from Bulgaria.
In our local newspaper, there is an advertisement for jobs in the Czech republic. I am thinking to go there. But I don't know if I will handle the language barrier well.

Do people in Czechia know the English language? The jobs that are advertised are for general workers, they are not highly qualified professions. I have learned some phrases in the Czech language, but I don't know it too much. I
see that the Czech language is similar to Russian and some words are similar to Bulgarian. What is your opinion - can a Bulgarian man survive in Czechia without too much language difficulty? [img]/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

In Prague, you will most certainly survive. In smaller cities, it may be a bit
more difficult, but with a few basic Bulgarian words, you will certainly
manage to communicate.
