Hi from Australia!

Hello, everyone! My name is Tristan, I'm a 16-year old girl living in Sydney, Australia. I'm not that irrelevant, really... my Dad's Czech, and my grandmother is living in the Czech Republic now. Plzen, to be exact. Perhaps you've heard of her? She's a poet, her name is Hana Gerzanic-Hons.

A bit of family history - she married in the 1940s and escaped the country while it was under communist rule, she came to to Australia and raised her family. She moved back a few years ago, able to reclaim her house and possessions. I went to visit her a few years ago, it was so amazing. I only got to stay 3 weeks and I'd love to go back but school is trapping me here.

I'm anxious to learn some Czech before I go back, so any help would be great! I'm also very interested in learning about my family tree, I've only got a few names and I know little to nothing because my grandparents were so secretive.
