Beach holiday in CR

We are visiting CR this summer and my three kids (10-17) want to spend some time near a lake for watersports (windsurfing, wake-boarding, playing on the beach, etc).

I have looked on the web and narrowed it down to Lipno lake in South Bohemia and Vranov nad Dyji and Nove Mlyny reservoir in South Morvavia. Does anyone have any experience with these places? and any tips on renting a house or villa close by?

Thanks !

If you want peace and tranquility and you like a natural environment with everything that goes with it then Lipno Lake is the place to go. Not far away is The Sumava National Park which also extends beyond the Czech boundaries into Germany and Austria, often called the Bohmerwald. Have fun!!

Re: Beach holiday in CR

Hey this message is really late, but I thought I would answer anyway for others who are interested in the same thing. I also researched south bohemia in czech republic, and there isn't a whole lot of information about it on internet, but I've been told by other czech people that it is really nice. Apparently the landscape is pretty much untouched by modern civilization. You can do activities such as walking tours, water sports, and there are some nice castles and monasteries that are worth seeing. In terms of renting a house or villa in the area, I don't think this should be a problem, as there are a lot of options out there. I like some of these websites:

http://www.casamundo.co.uk/index.php...&search=Search

Here are some more sites with self-catering accomodation, and cottages:

http://www.rentinthesun.com/search/C...outh%20Bohemia

http://www.cottages-for-holidays.com...bohemia/1.html

Some of these homes really look idyllic! I especially like the look of the cottages. The prices seem to be pretty varied on these sites, so there should be something for every budget.
